Nutella is one of those spreads – together with Biscoff, that I can eat with almost anything. I put it on my ice cream, I put copious amounts on bread or banana’s, and I absolutely love it in brownies.
The first country that comes to mind when thinking of Brownies, is of course the USA. This heavenly desert was popularised in the second half of the 20th century and has been a staple desert ever since. Kids love it, teenagers crave it and middle aged ladies love to bake them, if only just because they are incredibly easy to make, almost foolproof and loved by almost everyone.
It is no surprise that the wedding between the American brownie and the Italian Nutella makes some beautiful, creamy, delicious offspring. This power-couple is a guaranteed people pleaser and although you might be right when you point out the sky high amount of calories in this brownie, you cannot put a price or calories on something as delicious and comforting as a Nutella brownie.
How to make the 3 ingredient Nutella brownies
What you’ll need
- 280gr Nutella
- 2 eggs
- 62gr flour
Wait a minute? Aren’t we missing out on a couple of ingredients? Yes and no. You are right : To bake a batch or brownies, you would need a lot more ingredients than this – normally. But since Nutella already has milk, fat, and sugar, we do not need to ad these ingredients separately.
- Put everything in a bowl and mash it up with a spoon. I prefer using a scraper to do this so the Nutella won’t stick to the bowl.
- Put the dough in a brownie tin or you can use a cupcake tin if you want to. When using a cupcake tin, you can just use 2 spoons to measure the perfect amount of brownie batter and scrape the other spoon clean. A bit like when you would make fritters.
- You can top it with whatever you want before baking the brownies for 30 minutes on 180 degrees.
You are ready!
